A Message of Healing and Affirmation | Coalition Against Nukes

Native-American-Indian
The Museum of the American Indian will host attendees of the Rally for a Nuclear Free Future at a ceremony to acknowledge the effects of the nuclear fuel cycle on Native American lands.
Uranium mining and milling have taken a huge toll on Native American health and has cost many lives. In this solemn ceremony, we will remember our innate connection with the Natural World, offer thanks for our shared vision of a nuclear-free future, and acknowledge the injustice perpetrated on Native Lands.
A tour of the museum will follow the ceremony.

Thousands of anti-nuclear activists across the U.S. will converge on Washington, D.C. this September 20-22, 2012 for a three-day Rally for a Nuclear-Free Future.  A Capitol Hill briefing, citizen lobbying, and several peaceful demonstrations — including an “Occupy” action — will mobilize stronger grassroots awareness about the ongoing risks to public health and safety posed by the nuclear power industry.
