Please join us for a presentation featuring Gordon Edwards, Ph.D., President of the Canadian Coalition for Nuclear Responsibility.
Dr. Edwards has worked widely as a consultant on nuclear issues and has been qualified as a nuclear expert by courts in Canada and elsewhere.
Dr. Edwards will be speaking about Canada’s proposed solution for nuclear waste management including the NWMO’s (Nuclear Waste Management Organization) site selection process which currently involves 20 Canadian communities including 7 in Huron and Bruce Counties. He will speak about the burial of high-level nuclear waste.
Following Dr. Edwards’s presentation Bronwyn Drainie, Editor, Literary Review of Canada, will moderate a panel discussion/question and answer session.
Confirmed panelists include Councillor Taun Frosst of Saugeen Shores, and John Jackson, Director of Great Lakes United. A representative of the Nuclear Waste Management Organization has been invited to attend as well.
